Nine Mountain is a beautiful and affordable place for your wedding. For your ceremony, the birch grove, the lawn, the woods or nearby fields provide natural settings. A beautiful and affirming country church nearby offers a more traditional option if that is your preference.

Nine Mountain can accommodate 25 guests comfortably. Big dance spaces with wonderful floors are available at neighboring Earthdance. There are charming B&B's and spaces in private homes nearby for guests who want greater privacy, and there is ample camping space available on our 45 acres of land. Weddings of up to 250 guests have been held here very successfully.

What does a wedding cost at Nine Mountain?

Weddings that take place at retreat centers are not only more relaxed, quieter, and more natural--they're also generally quite a bit less expensive than the alternatives. Offering people an attractive and inexpensive place to stay in a beautiful country setting is a gift, just as sharing your love ceremony with your community of beloveds is a gift.

The basic cost of a Nine Mountain wedding is $2450 plus tax for a weekend wedding. For that basic price we will provide lodging for up to 25 guests for Friday and Saturday nights, guarantee your exclusive use of all our facilities, including the Great Room, the hot tub, the kitchen, and the grounds, and make coffee, tea and snacks available to your guests.

We also provide 3 delicious meals each day at very reasonable additional cost. Choose between the gourmet vegetarian @ $30 or add poultry and/or fish at lunch and dinner @ $35/ person/day. If you want special menu items, or a very special meal, we can provide whatever you wish, priced accordingly.

Weddings have become the most creative social events of our time. Literally anything goes, as partners meld different social and cultural traditions, blend religious and secular themes, and give families and friends the time and opportunity to connect socially.

Weddings at Nine Mountain have featured incredible performances, talent shows, dancing to live and DJ music, Scrabble tournaments, fortune tellers, drum circles, Gyrospheres, morning Yoga, sweat-lodges, Men's and Women's Circles, group art projects, etc. etc. always with great food and drink.

Some couples choose to share with friends their passion for white-water kayaking, skiing, or an evening of dance performance or a trip to the symphony at Tanglewood. Others opt for free-form social time, the sauna, hot tubs, and walks in the woods, with optional trips to nearby falls and gorges, Mt. Greylock, and the Mass. Museum of Contemporary Art (MoCA), just 25 miles away.

What do we do to reserve our dates at Nine Mountain?

Call us to check our bookings well in advance. If we are open for the dates you want and you are decided we'll "pencil you in." No booking is considered final until your deposit check has cleared. For weddings, a minimum of $1225, one-half the base amount, is required as a deposit. Policies on refunds will be included in our contract.

Note: Same-sex weddings become legal in Massachusetts on May 17 under Court Order. Despite confusing headlines from our Governor, there is no way to stop this wonderful celebration of love from happening.
